Description

Oliver Schmitt aka SOUNDS OF REVOLUTION (SOR) continues his highly acclaimed sound set series. Revolution JD990 contains 64 patches for Ambient, Electronica, Trance, (Dream)Dance, and Techno producers.

What’s in the sound set?

Unheard slowly evolving soundscapes, twisted ambiances, galactic textures, many classic and retro patches, incredible pads (Jean Michel Jarre is calling…), house chords, hard lead, and more. These sounds use additional features including sync, filters, waveforms, panning of each tone plus expanded modulation possibilities. Revolution JD990 is not a 1:1 convert from the JD 800 sound sets. This set shows that the JD990 sounds much better than the famous JD800!

JD990 users can order the three JD800 Trilogy as well, because we converted these sets in the JD990 format, too! Normally you can’t simply import JD800 soundsets into your JD990.

Please note: Sorry, that there is no specific sound demo available. If you want to hear the style of this set please check out our JD 800 demo. Revolution JD990 sounds similar but even better. If you own this cult machine – don´t miss this gem!

The JD990 is still among the most potent and fascinating synthesizers because of the additional features compared to the JD800:

* An additional card slot for the use of 8MB expansion boards from the SR-JV series
* Wave ROM was expanded to 6MB (compared to the JD-800’s 4MB) with 195 PCM waveforms (the JD800 had 108) * The LFO section received additional waveforms, including sine, trapezoid, and chaos
* Frequency cross modulation; the ability to synchronize two oscillators with the Osc sync function.
* Ring modulation, which can produce unusual effects and a variety of metallic percussions. Among many other things, this synth’s six different “structures” allow you to stack two filters in series to create intricate filter textures.
* Total outputs increased to eight.
* Tempo sync delay
* Polyphonic portamento
* It was given the moniker Super JD for the reasons listed above.

Installation Guide

Most of our synthesizer related products coming with an additional installation guide, which easily explains, how to install and use the presets.

If for some reason, there is no guide inside the product package – or the included guide doesn`t help or answers your questions, you can also take a look in our Help Centre – which covers the loading of 3rd party presets for several common synthesizers plugins like Sylenth1, Massive, u-He DIVA and more. In addition, our F.A.Q. may also cover some questions.

However, in some cases like hardware synthesizers, the usage and loading of 3rd party presets can be more difficult or untypical compared to software synthesizers. In such cases, please see the manual of the synthesizer itself – this usually covers all topics related to the synthesizer completely and will give you the best guideline.
