Stranger Serum Synths Vol.1 for Xfer Serum 2 – Inspired by the nostalgic, vintage and atmospheric sound that defined a generation, reimagined for today’s productions.

It’s designed to capture the nostalgic charm of analog circuitry of the 80s while offering the clarity and fullness needed for today’s productions. A major focus during designing was creating sounds that work across a wide range of genres:

  • 80s-inspired soundtracks & retro scoring
  • chillout, lofi & ambient productions
  • melancholic pop & indie electronica
  • modern EDM and dance music that benefit from warm analog layers

The presets are intentionally full and detailed, allowing you to build complete soundscapes without layering or additional processing.

Analog Behavior, Modern Usability – To recreate the emotional depth associated with vintage synths, we mimicked analog imperfections and behaviors — subtle drift, warm saturation, gentle instability — and merged them with the punch and clarity that Serum 2 is known for.

Every patch is crafted with a high level of detail and comes with:

  • 8 custom macro controls
  • modwheel & velocity assignments

To make the creative process even smoother, every patch includes a unique melody or chord progression that reflects its intended use. With simple drag-and-drop functionality, these MIDI ideas can be pulled directly into your DAW — completely royalty-free — so you can start writing instantly. To spark even more inspiration, we added 60 additional MIDI files and songstarters, which perfectly go hand in hand with the presets.

Installation Guide

Most of our synthesizer related products coming with an additional installation guide, which easily explains, how to install and use the presets.

If for some reason, there is no guide inside the product package – or the included guide doesn`t help or answers your questions, you can also take a look in our Help Centre – which covers the loading of 3rd party presets for several common synthesizers plugins like Sylenth1, Massive, u-He DIVA and more. In addition, our F.A.Q. may also cover some questions.

However, in some cases like hardware synthesizers, the usage and loading of 3rd party presets can be more difficult or untypical compared to software synthesizers. In such cases, please see the manual of the synthesizer itself – this usually covers all topics related to the synthesizer completely and will give you the best guideline.
